Our Club's Rich History started when the Iron Mountain Rotary Club was chartered in 1921, becoming club #2646. We were sponsored by the Marquette Rotary Club and part of the Rotary family tree that started with Club 1 in 1905, The Chicago Rotary Club. We have enjoyed wonderful speakers at our weekly meetings and our first speaker was Henry Ford.

The Kingsford Rotary Club merged with us in 1975. Together we have presented over $138,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors at both local high schools. Our club has also donated over $130,000 to Rotary international. 50% of these funds support projects that align with Rotary's Seven Areas of Focus and the other 50% comes back to our District 6220 to support local and regional projects. Projects like the Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) program and Peace Scholars.

Through RYE we have welcomed international students from many different countries and we have also sent our local students out to other countries through this program that promotes peace and understanding. Our '23-'24 outbound student is enjoying her cultural experience in Japan and will be returning in June.

We currently have 43 members representing many different professions, ages, demographics and interests. Guest and potential members are welcome to visit us any Tuesday (check calendar for speakers and location) Our "keeper of our culture" Bill Verette, who has been a member for over 50 years. And many new members have been with us less than a year. This provides for great mentoring and leadership opportunities.
