It is with great regret that we must inform you of the cancellation of this year’s race, scheduled for August 6, 2023. Due to an unforeseen conflict with the Kingsford Centennial event, which is also taking place during the same weekend, we have been left with no choice but to make this difficult decision. First and foremost, we want to express our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience and disappointment this may cause. We understand the time, energy, and dedication you have invested in preparing for the Pine Mountain 500, and we share your frustration in having to cancel the event. Please know that this decision was not made lightly and was based on careful consideration of all available options. The Kingsford Centennial event is an occasion of historical significance for our community, marking a hundred years of unity and celebration. The overlap in dates between the two events presents logistical challenges that cannot be easily overcome without compromising the quality and safety of our event. While we explored alternative solutions to accommodate both events, we ultimately concluded that canceling the Pine Mountain 500 for this year was the most responsible course of action. We understand that this news may be disappointing, but we want to assure you that our commitment to organizing an exceptional racing experience remains unwavering. Our team is already hard at work planning for the 2024 Pine Mountain 500, and we are determined to make it an unforgettable event that will surpass all expectations. We value your loyalty and support, and we truly appreciate your understanding during this unfortunate situation. As a token of our gratitude, we will be offering a special discount on the registration fee for the 2024 Pine Mountain 500 to all participants who were registered for this year’s race.
